Better Buses North East is funded by the Foundation for Integrated Transport and is run by volunteers. We are not affiliated with the North East Mayoral Combined Authority or Mayor Kim McGuinness, but believe that public control of buses will improve public transport in the region.

About NEPTUG
NEPTUG campaigns for an integrated, sustainable, publicly-accountable transport system connecting Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and County Durham.
It also supports walking, wheeling and cycling.
NEPTUG has a management committee responsible for its strategic direction which is made up of representatives from the local branches of NEPTUG and several other organisations with similar objectives.
